1st. Plaza Shopping Center

In 2024, construction was completed on a 6 tenant shopping plaza to assist Big Lake's need for additional space for small "Mom & Pop" businesses, entrepreneurial start-ups, pop ups, and franchise owned businesses to serve the community.  Located at the corner of E. 1st Street and N. Plaza Ave., 1st Plaza Shopping Center proudly came to life offering 4 small retail spaces and 1 larger retail space.  There is also a space for a small restaurant or fast food outlet with a circle drive leading to double service windows.  

Because of the need for space for small  and young businesses, the Board of Directors elected to keep the leasing opportunities as minimal as possible as well as keeping rental/tenant costs to a minimum.  With no long term leasing agreements and affordable rent, small and young businesses can open without great overhead costs and expenses.  Upon successfully satisfying their dreams of business ownership and growth, they can safely relocate to a bigger or stand alone retail space.  Support local businesses and give them a chance to show you the small town charm available as you shop and support Big Lake and our community.
